JEE Advanced 2013 Syllabus

Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), New Delhi Conducted JEE Advanced for the admission to the undergraduate programmes at the IITs and ISMU, Dhanbad for the year 2013 will be based on a two-tier test. The first test called the JEE (Main), will be held during the month of April, 2013 (both offline and online). This test will be conducted by CBSE. The second test, called the JEE (Advanced), will be held on June 2, 2013 (only offline). Who is Eligible:

Only 1,50,000 of the top rankers in JEE(Main), which includes students from all categories( GE,OBC(NCL), SC and ST ) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced).

Distribution of top 1,50,000 candidates across various categories is as follows:

* Top 75750 (50.5 %) Common Merit List
* Top 40500 (27%) Other Backward Classes-

Non creamy layer OBC (NCL)
* Top 22500 (15 %) Scheduled Caste (SC).
* Top 11250 (7.5 %) Scheduled Tribe (ST).

3% of the total candidates in each category are reserved for PD candidates .

How to apply:

JEE (Advanced) - 2013 all eligible candidates should register through online at during  May 8th to 13th May, 2013.

After online registration, candidates must pay the examination fee as applicable through challan (generated during registration process) of all SBI branches having core banking solution (CBS) on or before 13 May, 2013.

The examination fee for GE and OBC(NCL) male candidates is Rs.1800/-. The fee for SC,  ST, PD male candidates is Rs. 900/-. There is no fee for female candidates of all categories. Registration is complete only after the payment.

Exam Schedule:
June 2nd, 2013 Sunday       Paper 1:     9.00am to 12.00noon hrs,      Paper 2:     2pm to 5.00pm hrs.

Exam Pattern:
The JEE (Advanced)-2013 will have two objective type papers. Each paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each paper will be 3-hours. Question papers will be in both English and Hindi. 

The questions will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. In some sections, incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks.

Admit Card:
Admit Card download from Zonal IIT Websites from May 15th to 31st May, 2013.

If the admit card is not available in the Zonal IIT Portal by May 15th, 2013, candidates can contact immediately the Zonal IIT through Phone, Email, Fax.

JEE Advanced Results declared by June 23rd, 2013

Candidates can view the answer keys of JEE (Advanced) - 2013 on Zonal IIT JEE (Advanced) portal.
